With over three decades of experience in the automotive industry, the majority as Dealer Principal. I have represented Volkswagen, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Honda, Peugeot, Renault, Citroen, Rover, Jaguar and Nissan. I started The Island Carriage Company Ltd with my two sons in 2020 to supply carefully selected and superbly prepared vehicles, utilising all my experience of customer care and vehicle preparation. Our goal is to supply quality vehicles with industry leading after care.
We moved into Unit 29 in February 2021, the unit is on the southern tip of the beautiful Island of Portland on the Jurassic coast, we are part of Southwell Business Park. There is more information about the history of the site on the link below.
When we got the keys to the unit we realised there was a lot to do in order to get it just how we wanted it!
We started by giving the walls and ceiling a good clean, degrease and a coat of paint.
The floor had decades of oil that had to be removed and look what we found! I just couldn't bring myself to paint over this?
Freshly decontaminated floor, five coats of Epoxy and its beginning to look like a hospital?
